We arrived at Memorial Mission hospital at 7am on April 18th to begin the induction process. Athaelia's estimated due date was 4 days earlier and I think Mom was more than ready to meet her little one.
The day started out with lots of laughter and jokes made mostly by Peter, but when AllieMarie finally decided that the time for jokes was over, her sweet husband moved into "daddy doula" mode and he was awesome!
When Athaelia finally entered the world after about 7 hours of labor, there wasn't a dry eye in the room. I remember watching AllieMarie and her flood of emotions. Love, relief, excitement, happiness, confusion, thankfulness, fear, and amazement all showed on her face and in her tears and it was absolutely the most incredible thing to watch!
AllieMarie and Peter, thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to be a part of this incredible, life-changing day! Congratulations on your sweet baby girl! I can't wait to watch her grow up!
